Nic Tomlinson impresses by finishing 19 in outright
If you have aspirations of becoming a pro, the first step to go is to get the best results in the Junior classes to stake your claim. Today the Junior's finished 8 special tests and they had to conquer a 120 kilometer trail through tough conditions.
Nic Tomlinson, riding in the Junior 4 class, must have thought when seeing the rider's lists: "This is what you are up against. This is what I have to face and my goal is to finish near to the top riders." And so he did. With a time of 40:25.282, Nic Tomlinson finished 19 in the outright. This is only three minutes slower than the outright winner of today, Toby Price.
Dylan Heaton followed 30 seconds later and Tom Mason filled the podium with a well-deserved third place.
Suzuki rider, Will Ruprecht, was the top J3 rider. He finished with a time of 43:48.321 which was one minute faster than Travis Silk. Stuart Holt, followed closely and finished third.
The J2 podium saw Kaden Groves in first place setting a time of48:56:269. Jack Williams followed closely (49:30.560) and third was Locky Kennedy (1:00:10.638).
In the J1 Class, Joshua Brierley (2:35:15:750) finished ahead of Mitchell Brierley. Corey Hammond came in third to round off the podium.
