| The 2012 Manual of Motorcycle Sport contains the rules & guidelines for participating in and conducting Motorcycle Sport, and includes the General Competition Rules and other relevant information on Motorcycle Sport. The rules are designed to ensure fair and safe competition for all involved.

MV SEEKS MOTORSAFE PRESENTER FOR 2012 | MOTORCYCLING Victoria is looking for one full-time or two part-time Presenters to assist in delivering our MotorSafe Program to schools around Victoria.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for the motorcycling industry and educating our younger generation on the importance of safety when riding a motorcycle! The MotorSafe Presenter is responsible for the successful presentation of the MotorSafe Program within schools across Victoria.

MOTORSAFE'S MINI LICENCE SESSIONS | MOTORCYCLING Victoria's new MotorSafe Officer Misty Walton will be taking on the MotorSafe Program in 2012. In the past the program has proven to be highly successful, presenting to over 4000 students in Victoria in 2011. WOMEN'S CLASS FOR KTM HATTAH DESERT RACE | THE KTM Hattah Desert Race is recognised as one of the toughest and most popular off-road races on the racing calendar. A women's class has not been run before in the desert race which is run through the Mallee scrubland near Mildura on July 7-8. With interest from women competing in the Victorian Off-Road Championship and the assistance of Motorcycling Victoria, the push for a Women's class has started. Gary Leeson president of North West Motorcycle club has said if we had enough interest we would certainly welcome and consider running a ladies class. The North West Victorian Motorcycle Club has hosted the Hattah Desert Race in its current format for more than 10 years. Continue reading the Expression of Interest

AVAILABLE GRANTS | Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women, provides women with opportunities to undertake training to reach their leadership potential within the industry as coaches, officials and administrators.
Grants of up to $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organisations, and scholarships of up to $10,000 per annum, are available. Grants and scholarships are available in the following categories: - coaching
- officiating
- governance
- management and administration
- communications, media and marketing.
The Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women program is an initiative of the Australian Government that is managed by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) in partnership with the Australian Government Office for Women. |
GENERAL MEETING POSTPONED TILL JUNE 13 | MOTORCYCLING Victoria's General Meeting that was scheduled to take place on April 11 at 7.30pm at the Newport-Braybrook Motorcycle Club in Spotswood has had to be postponed, due to lack of numbers, till Wednesday, June 13. All who are involved in motorcycle sport are welcome to attend the next General Meeting. MV CLUB CASE STUDIES - NO.1: COME & TRY DAYS | AS part of a new initiative to grow motorcycle sport in 2012, Motorcycling Victoria will share worthwhile club information in the form of Club Case Studies. These case studies will highlight the best practices for a number of club activities in an effort to make Victorian clubs even better.
