MA awards 2012 and 2013 ASBK Rights to IEG

Motorcycling Australia (MA) has awarded the 2012 and 2013 Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) rights to International Entertainment Group (IEG).

MA CEO David White is looking forward to working with IEG over the next two years to deliver the ASBK.

"The ASBK is an integral element of Australian Motorcycle Sport, and a highlight on the annual calendar," Mr White said.

"MA has a strong commitment to the continued and development of the ASBK.

"IEG has a proven track record of delivery and I am confident they will continue to deliver outstanding results for the ASBK over the next two years."

IEG Managing Director Yarrive Konsky said he looked forward to continuing the promoter's relationship with MA and growing the ASBK brand.

"IEG looks forward to further growing and developing the ASBK in 2012 and 2013, extending our position as promoter to five years," said Konsky.

"This renewal allows the Championship to move forward with consistency, and, in collaboration with MA, we are confident of extending our reach into mainstream channels and promoting the exceptional talent of our riders."

The 2011 ASBK Championship heads south to Symmons Plains in Tasmania for round seven from 11-13 November.
