Licensing Procedures
MOTORCYCLING VICTORIA would like to remind all riders and clubs on MV's licensing procedures, particularly as we approach our busiest time of year in accepting new licences and processing licence renewals.
As always, we request that all licence applications be submitted at least two weeks before they are required, to allow for adequate time for processing and postage. If you are able to send applications in more than two weeks prior, please do so.
Any licence applications received three days or less than required (i.e. received on Wednesday and needed for the weekend) will incur a $55 late fee as is shown on the application form, no exceptions.
It is very important that licence applications are submitted to our office on or before time, as a confirmation letter is also required due to a late application. It takes around the same time to write up a confirmation letter as it does to actually process a licence, plus the licence still needs to be processed afterwards.
If we can minimise the amount of confirmation letters needed, our license processing speed can be drastically improved, rather than holding up the processing of applications which are received on time, in favour of late applicants tying up phone lines and staff time in order to receive their licence in a hurry.
Motorcycling Victoria appreciates your assistance on this matter and looks forward to the smooth and speedy processing of license applications.
To apply for a licence please visit our Licensing page of our website or contact our office directly on (03) 9670 0600.
Kind Regards,
Ryan Fritz
