The 2010 Interclub road race series has been run and won by Newport Braybrook Club on Sunday, but not without thrills, spills, and a protest in leg two of the Team Shield against another club, which was upheld by the clerk of course. As a consequence, that clubs results were excluded from leg two, giving a final advantage and winning points to NBMC. No appeal was lodged within 30 mins of the protest, so the amended results still stand (for now). The Preston MCC is, in response is upset in regards to what has transpired, so we may not have heard the last of this. Big thanks to Newport Members who rode their behinds off today, particularly in the Team Shield, Ryan Taylor, Ryan Dobbie and Peter Berry. In addition, Joe Marateo, Ben Scott, Peter Scott, Scott Tudenham, Dean Outhred, Mark Lamont, and Adam Stockdale some of whom only joined the NBMC today, proudly accepted trophies under the banner of NBMC. In the end a great day, and here's looking forward to 2011.
